In newly received and stressed cattle, the microbial
population of the gut can be disturbed. Increased
susceptibility to disease and less feed conversion
efficiency, may result, causing slow starts and poor gains.
Probiotics contain certain microbial "bugs" that may assist
in return to normal gut function. These products have no
drug or therapeutic action and are therefore easily
managed. Probiotics can be used in combination with any
feed additive or other medication. Additionally, probiotics
have no withdrawal period. Follow label directions and
consult your veterinarian, nutritionist or sales
representative for proper use and information.
