1) All
records must be kept for a period of two years from the
release of the cattle from the operation.
2)
Should unacceptable levels of residues be found in any of
the cattle shipped for slaughter, the beef operation will
make applicable records available to FSIS and FDA personnel
and to BQA /CMP program personnel. This is to determine the
source and cause of the violative residue, and corrective
action taken to prevent reoccurrence of such violation.
3)
Records can be kept on a computer or in written form, as
long as they meet the aforementioned specifications and
allow for verification of actions taken. Existing records
will do, if all aforementioned qualifications are met.
