Section 10 - Suggested Procedures

1. A record of all animal health products, including treatment medications, processing medications, and implants should be maintained for 30 days beyond slaughter of the last animal in a group of incoming cattle  (Example SD BQA/CMP Form 520 - Processing Map).  The receiving record should include date received, product name, supplier, quantity, lot and serial number, and expiration date.

2. All purchase invoices from animal health products, including treatment medications, processing medications, and implants should be kept for 10 months after purchase.
